Where can I do INHOUSE t/c signings?
I'd love to sit stationery IN THEIR OFFICES and just notarize their docs all day -- at least a FEW times per week on a REGULAR basis and ESPECIALLY in the winter. Does anyone know WHERE I can find this TYPE of position?

If you find out PLEASE let me know, cause I'll be right ther
to take the job away from you! (just joking--kind of anyway) Really no one in their right mind will give you this info. It would be giving you their job. If your that new, stay away from t/c signings, you need experence frist!!! read post no. 33325. then start reading all the other posts. there's also a post 44 something (I never can remember that one) thats really good. sign up with LOTS of ss (200) also pick a name and use your state abb when posting because that is important in giving answers. I really don't want to sound harsh but, you need to read alot before posting (most answers have been given over and over)

Contact a local title company. I think you are better off being an independent contractor who can demand a better rate than you would receive working for a title company. Don't misunderstand me, the best rates I receive are from title companies but I am not parked in their office. I know one notary who contacted a local tc and at first she worked for them now and then at the eom. The rate per job was low....like 40 per settlement but she didn't have to use any gas and of all her own supplies. So I suppose it depends on a lot of variables: the tc, you, bottom rate versus cost etc...... After working in banking for 20 years I would take being independent over working for another finanacial institutuion. Who knows there may be a tc out there willing to give you the experience you need...a win win situation!! Good Luck

New NSA's read here for the BEST TC LEADS!!!
Yes I do! Apply at a title company. They'll be happy to pay you $1600 a month to start in customer service researching public records. Learn to type. Show an interest in escrow, and be really nice to the manager. After a many years of marketing yourself inhouse, you might be offered a job as an escrow assistant and they'll be happy to have you notarize docs all day long for oh, about $2000 a month, and you will be lucky to go home by 7 at night.
Best of luck to you!

Yep, either all our chains are getting yanked with joksters, or it really has gotten this bad. I'm going to find a forum for another industry and demand they tell me how to do their jobs - I'll let you know how I did - it might be amusing! There's sure not much here that's of interest any more.

This is bad of me I'm adding gasoline to the fire but I can't help to think what you might answer to post #58897? My daughter is wondering why I am laughing at the computer.
TitleGal, what can I say.... I've learned from you and many others.

Just a little depressed and cynical Jenny! This board has taken a major dive in the last 3 months and I think it's a shame. I'll look at 58897 - but I'm picking up Cali vibes...big time.

How is your son doing? Does he read the board? I am wondering what he thinks of it?

Re: JaneB
Nope...he's not the "paper type". It was a good idea tho...and would have worked in a 'team' approach to my business.

too bad.....
My younger brother was working with another brother who is a broker/investor but he decided that he does not like the "paper work" either. He decided to become a Mixologist instead (lincensed bartender).

I think 7:00 is being generous. I remember working until 11:00 at end of month and then taking files home with me to write up policies. Don't miss those hours but wouldn't trade the experience for anything.
To think that someone actually thinks that I am going to share 20 years of knowledge with them so they can become my competitor is laughable. Why don't I just post my business plan and client list so you won't have to do any of the hard work.
Get real people this is not a hobby for most of us, it is our career.

I hope to God this is a prank....I just got 4 checks in the mail from closings....give me your address and I will endorse them and send them to you. Let me guess....you have gotten the information from the NNA telling you that you could make 70k doing this job. I will give you credit for this: At least you realize that sitting on your $%^ and having people come to you like lost sheep is the only way you are ever going to have time to make that kind of scratch!!!
I noticed the time of your post........I think you have had a few too many tonight!!! Sleep it off and try to ask an intelligent question tomorrow!!!!!
