Sign up with 200 signing services. Do search on "newbie" and read all the info in the threads.
Adopt a site name with your state. i.e. I an Art in Maryland--->Art_MD.

Art, I notice you say in Md you have to have a title producers thingy. Do you have to be a title agent?

I'm not Art, but I'm in MD. Yes, you have to be a licensed title producer.

UP until about two months ago I just did title insurance for attys full time (23 years). Three of my attys waltzed in and wanted to be partners and when I wasn't interested, they formed their own title co and cut me off! Sheesh. I have since started doing searches and just gotten straight with the bar to do closings. I"m waiting to see how it will go. I'm on the Eastern Shore... pretty limited client base but very busy with people moving here from north. I'm still trying to figure out why title co. didn't particularly want me to do notary closings. Any ideas? Money is money to me. Thanks.
