Room Service

To get the full effect, this should be read aloud. You will understand what 'tenjewberrymuds' means by the end of the conversation.
The following is a telephone exchange between a hotel guest and room-service, at a hotel in Asia, which was recorded and published in the Far East Economic Review:

Room Service (RS): "Morrin. Roon sirbees."

Guest (G): "Sorry, I thought I dialed room-service."

RS: "Rye..Roon sirbees..morrin! Jewish to oddor sunteen??"

G: "Uh..yes..I'd like some bacon and eggs."

Thanks Charm!!! I needed this before I head out to another busy day!!! This conversation sounds like ones I have with my mortgage customer service people (in India of course).

Sounds like a conversation I had with a borrower when reconfirming our appointment time. I thought "oh boy, this is going to be one awful closing", but when I got there he explained that when I called earlier he had just gotten back from the dentist and his jaw was still numb and he couldn't talk! We had a good laugh about it and the closing went without a hitch since I could then understand him.
