notary-services.com

Has anyone signed up with notary-services.com? They have a free listing as well as an executive listing for 65.00 a year. If so, has it helped you to get business or just a waste of money.

Thanks for the reply, does it give you access to the companies and contact information to sign up with?

I don't belong, but I checked out their website and I think it is too hard for a company to search for a notary. Remember, when they are looking on a board for a notary that means that they have exhausted their usual resourses and are in a hurry. They need quick and easy.

Google "notary" and see what comes up on the first page. They don't and I would pass and use the 65 dollars to buy more supplies or gasoline.

I have taken their list as well, which has a list of many companies and went to their websites and signed up in their vendor dept.

I think that's an irresponsible response Glenn_CA

I think that you can't just say...their not on the first page of the search engine..they aren't worth anything. I think they are newer and there has to be given consideration to that.

Now having Brenda say she hasn't gotten anything is more to stand on because it's actual experience. NotaryRotary was once new and had very few notaries registered, as was 123Notary. I honestly have gotten more calls from companies finding me on SigningAgent.com.

I for one would NOT tell anyone to put ALL their eggs in one or two baskets because new sites bring new resources and new places tend to have new ideas. Older sites become stagnate and new sites can definately bring new life. There are new sites coming out soon that I WILL be signing up for because I have heard of their resources and tools and believe they will be assets and benefits to notaries AND companies.

They are brand new

I just signed up witht them and have had 1 call in less than a week. Only time will tell if they willbe a consistent source of revenue. It is a free listing......my favorite four letter word.

Re: I think that's an irresponsible response Glenn_CA

My point was to get the biggest bang for your buck as quick as you can. A new notary has limited resourses and a lot of new notaries are on this board. And the fact remains 99% of calls come from these two boards. When someone is looking for a notary, they are not going to search through pages and pages of search engine results they will go to the first one or two on the first page of the search engine. Time is money. Now having said that, I have posted ads on some other boards and have gotten some signings. Now if you want to send money to every little notary search board on the planet, then God bless you. New notaries do not nave those kind of resourses. Not a day goes by that I don't get an email or regular mail solicitation to pay for an ad on some board somewhere. There are hundreds. I know many of these people and can you guess where they get your name to send you the solicitation in the first place?

Actually, Anonymous, You made my point.

You say you get work from signingagent.com? That is NNA and when you Google "notary", it comes up first.

signingagents.com

I am a member of NNA but from what I see there is an additional charge for signingagents.com on their web site. Am I wrong?

I think you have to be a member of the NSA section of the NNA.

Re: signingagents.com

True, you have to do their certification test and I believe there was a fee as well but I don't remember it being too expensive. I've gotten half my signings from that site.
