promotional items...

Do any of you spend money on promotional items such as magnetic biz cards, pens, calendars, golf tees, cups, etc?
I've been leaving business cards but thinking about something new that will sit out there on someone's desk or in their lunchroom.
If you use any of these, please share your experience and customer feedback...tia

I leave pens at every signing and also as a marketing tool with new clients. Try National Pen Corporation at www.pens.com

Prices are of good quality and prices are good; usually buy 250 get 250 free.

Re: Pens

I was looking at the retractables...the 'allure' pen comes in blue or black, I like that one in assorted colors with my name title and phone number, that's a buy one get one free. I think every signing I've done with the exception of two were in blue ink (requested)

I also give out pens and get them from National Pen Corp... really reasonable, plus it's a marketing cost write-off!. The pens have my company name, the county I service, my phone number, and website address. People love them!

Freshly baked brownies, still warm.

I drop them off around 3:30 when resistance is futile.

lol PNW...

they wouldn't make it past the door here! But that sounds good too - there are some real chocolate worshipers out there. My Mom is one of them, she gives it up for Lent every year!

I had thought of trying the magnetic calendars but I also like the idea of using golf tees donating them to the fund raising golf tournaments for schools and such. What do you think?

Re: promotional items...no - pizza..yes

I don't use anything but business cards. However, there are 2 title companies that periodically get pizza on a Friday. I know their local pizza place's phone #s and they do accept my out of state call and order.
I let them know ahead that pizza coming. Usually do it around or just before the EOM. Pops my name up in their minds when the start lining out signings.
This is a business expense and I write itr off on taxes.

Re: promotional items...no - pizza..yes

That's an excellant idea, Art. I have a couple companies I would do that for. I love to bake so every once in a while I bake pies for the Beneficial/HFC offices around here. They say I'm the only one who does that around here.

I get pens from National pens and magnet business cards & calendars from Vista print. My next big step will be letter openers and candy jars for the hollidays.

Yes, I spend money on promotional items. I am just certain, for the amount i spend, that I hand them out to potential business.

Today, I ordered 48 embroidered shirts for my employees and special account customers. They will contain my logo, etc.

Depending on your budget, and how many people you want to attract, and what you think will keep your name in front of them is what I think is a good idea.
