I received this via email and thought I would share:
This is supplied by someone at a Title Company that did business with Mr. Barry:
copied and pasted from the original email:

"First Rich's cousin Lisa actually stole over $50,000 about 2 years
ago. And of course Rich did not press any charges. (Hum I wonder why??) Now
Rich has not paid any notaries since January this year. Every check he
received in from the Title Companies were never paid out. So obviously he
was pocketing the money for himself. They have also found that he was
making wire transfers from the Co checking account into another account for
commodities.

There are numerous attorneys and notaries that are in the process of suing
him personally and also Elite Signing Services. They are using an attorney
in Algonquin, IL. The employees are also going after him, he stopped
payments on their checks 2 weeks after they were cashed, he was deducting
insurance money out of checks and there was not even insurance. That is
Fraud.

The phones had been disconnected numerous times, because he would not pay
the phone bill.

On July 12th, he transferred all of the phones to his house and closed down
the office.
Here is some information that you might like to have. His phone number is

There are two Elite Signings - the one in Illinois is owned by Richard Barry - avoid at all costs! The other is in Kansas City, MO, and is a good one.

NOT completely true


I DID get paid on a signing I did for them in Feb 15th 2005)...and got my check Mar 10th, 2005.

BUT I'm still owed from May 24, 2005...and that's the only reason I took the second signing...I got paid for the first one.

Now I have the Title Co.& VP's email address who will be sending me my check thanks to the lender I had taking control of their mistake in who they had do their loans. Everyone who's hiring attorney's will just have more they have to pay soemone NOT involved to fight their "principle" which I understand completely. I just went to the other entity (s) involved and explained their actual responsibility...just in a very persuasive way.
