I hope you are at least doing this in your office. With time and whatever travel. I would charge more.

$100 would *almost* cover the 1st if there wasn't excess travel/mileage charge.

Donna - I had a call from Notaries NW last week and they wanted to pay $75 for a 1st and 2nd, but they would overnight the docs. I told them I couldn't do it for that little, I thought $125 was reasonable. I know they found someone else because I never heard back.

I had a call for an appointment and they didn't want to pay my fee but were not willing to meet me half way on it either for a 1st and 2nd. I didn't understand the logic seeing that their other notary canceled on them and they were calling me at the last minute.
I was wondering if companies that have the word title in their name are actually title companies or are they merely trying to represent themselves as such when they are actually a SS. I ask that question because actual title companies do pay more than SS. Just wondering what you all think.
I'm a part-time SA considering going full time and with the pennies that some of these companies want to pay I just can't imagine living off of what they will pay.
