AMERICAN TITLE...

Would anyone had done this. Would you drive out 15 miles for $15 bucks, this is what this co. is doing. If the borrower refuse to sign the documents once you get there then American Title only gives you a trip fee of $15 bucks. Beware! Make sure you always ask what the fee will be if the borrower does not sign. Other companies I do work for will give you the whole amount regardless.

Hey Anonymous! Which American Title? There are MANY!

Did you sign a contract with them? Was that agreed to by you? Did You ask about the trip fee before accepting the closing?

If it's the one in NE, I did a few for them and they were nasty and it took forever to get the big $65 each time. When I followed up on payment they were jerks.

they're extremely rude if you try to collect! I refuse to accept anything from them.

YES! That's them in NE - and your right they are pretty rude. I wish I'd knew about this before but I no longer accept their work.
