ATM Corp.
Has anyone gotten an e-mail from them regarding a 'new' settlement agency they have been supposedly contracted to start by Aames Funding? They are offering this "prime" opportunity to become a selected partner in this venture. Now, from what I have been offered before by ATM, they are a $45.00 company and the last Aames closing I did (1 week ago) was a 1st and second...e-docs totalling over 350 pages...and fortunately I did it for a good paying TC. This being my sole source of income for the last 9 years, I sure am not about to further ATM's business interests with MY money. Just curious as to how many of you might have gotten the same e-mail.

I got the email also. I've done work for ATM and they always met my fees and paid in short time. Been pleasant to work with also. I don't know about this new Company...they are new to me, but I'm willing to give it a try.

You say they met your fee....I assume it was more than $45. When I quoted them my fee, they were solid at $45.00 with no negotiating. Are you in a rural area?

Yes, I am in a very rural area. My fee is definately more than $45. Whenever I get a call from a TC or SS, I ask where & what it is....I have a fee schedule for every town in my county w/ or w/o edocs. I state my fee and stick to it. I have done my homework and know my costs. $45 is not even close to covering them. It's the SS's that say they can't meet my fee. They either tell me they don't get that much or will have to get it approved. Sometimes I don't hear back from them, but a lot of the time, they call back and approve my fee. I have never had a problem with the TC's. My fees are not unreasonable at all. I'm not out to screw someone, just make a living honestly and fairly.

By the way....
ATM has been great....Meet my fee and usually get my check within a week. I look forward to continuing with them. As for the new company....we'll see.

Re: By the way....
Thanks for your input...I agree that a "wait & see" attitude is what's needed now.
