Ahhhhh??
OK, same old tune. I got an email stating that I needed to send a loose acknowledgement for a signing I did almost 2 months ago. Didnt state for what, just that the acknowledgement was blank. Is this kind of strange to hear about this now?? Ive already been paid for this job, and no one called me about needing something, or that I forgot to fill out an acknowledgement. I emailed back requesting that they specify exactly what it was that I supposedly forgot to notarize and also that they fax me the document in question. This is the correct way to handle this, right?? It seems to me, if there was something missing, they would of contacted me much sooner. Happy Holidays to everyone!!!! Lisa

You handled it right. For the most part, the paperwork is handled within the week. Later paperwork includes: Recording DOT - this can take weeks/months depending on the load/efficency of county clerk. If something was wrong (in eyes of clerk), it might not be caught until then. Sale of loan - this can occur anytime. Certain docs have to do with this sale. Error could show up months after closing.
Don't let them snow you. Get the fax of what you are supposed to have missed. Don't send a loose acknowledgement.
