Attatching certs to Missed Notarizations/LFC

I just received a call that I missed two notarizations in a loan package. I am sure I did not miss these docs. THey emailed me the docs with the borrowers signatures on them and when I looked them over they were two docs that were not worded correctly. I attached the loose certs to these. THey are saying that they did not get the loose certs. Can I attach a new acknowledgement without going back to the borrowers and do I date it today or the day of the signing thanks. P.S. I am in CAlifornia.

Re: I would also like to know what to do in this case TIA

If I am positive that the borrowers did sign that document i.e. dot, etc then I will send a new acknowledgement. I don't go back to the borrower, I don't backdate, or anything else, why would I? They signed in the first place didn't they? BUT I do make sure to describe the document, i.e. deed of trust for 123 Main St, Anywhere, CA , loan number 12345 etc, so that the acknowledgement can't be used somewhere else. I can't see making things anymore difficult than they have to be.

Because on the certificate that you are signing, it says:

... On (this date) before me, John NorCal, personally appeared (the borrower) ...

The borrower is not appearing before you on the date you are signing again.
