Brother 8440

I'm really agonizing over what to get in a 5-in-1. The concensus on GMN seems to be the 8440. Can I get some responses here ? Thank you in advance.

Alot of people here like the hps but I like my brother MFC 8820D. It looks almost exactly the same as the 8440 and I haven't had any issues with it.

I like my Brother 8840D. I have the dual tray and it's been wonderful. I've had it for over a year now and I haven't had to change the drum but once. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I have thought about getting a color printer because I do a lot of things in color for other things but just haven't had the time to look into it and I like this one so much for everything else, it's just not logical to have both.

I just got the 8220 because I wanted the auto feed. I use an online fax service and this definaetly speed things up for me. It prints a refi package in about 20-30 minutes...2 copies.

I have 8440 and I really like it. I don't have the second tray but plan on getting it soon. I think it's a real workhorse. I avoided the HP because of the cost of the ink cartridges.

I have an 8220 and bought a second paper tray. I didn't have enough space for the larger 8440 and doubt I ever will so the 8220 has been great.

I have the 8440 with the optional 2nd tray. I love it.. super quick and works great!
