Christmas plans and appointments

I'm wondering how many will be working right up to Christmas Day and how many will be turning the cell off for holiday trips and get-togethers? My family is gathering in South Carolina so my husband and I are catching a flight on 12/22 --- late. We won't return home until 12/28.

We're out of here from 12/26-01/03...going up north to spread holiday humbugs! I don't know how busy I'll be, but the next week looks like the usual one a day for the last three weeks.

One of my brothers and his wife are hosting the holiday this year. So I'll bring my ...umm...Christmas cheer down south.

We're taking the kids to the Grand Canyon and then on to Phoenix. I'll be gone from 12/26 - 1/7. I'm not sure how many signings I'll be missing.

I'll be gone 12/26-01/07 too. We're taking the kids to London and Paris. I'm sure there are some signings during that time but we deserve a break.

We're "delaying" Christmas until Jan. 8. My son-in-law is returning home from Iraq. We will celebrate with him. It's my grandson's first Christmas and the first time his dad will actually get to hold him. He was born 6/29 and the only way his dad has seen him has been by web cam! In Georgia/Ft. Benning, Christmas will be in Jan. for our family. It's going to be a big celebration with several family members joining in.

I'm hoping this year is like last yr..I did 6 on Christmas Eve & 7 on New Yrs Eve. What surprises me, as WHY would anyone want to close docs on the Eve's?

I dont mind working the holidays, but the niece is throwing a fit and calling me scrooge. So this year I will shut down from 12/22 until 12/27.
