Double Standard

Had a call from a settlement co. to do sign for today. Sends me an email that notaries have not been confirming or have been running late and not advising customers. I say, ya ok, that's not my mo, but I get the drift. So I confirm with customer and I tell co my drop dead time for docs so I can arrive on time and he emails me back that docs will probably be late. I am surprised we are not all half crazy or maybe we are to do this job. Whip me, beat me, make me write a bad check. I saw Lion King on broadway during the holidays and I could so relate to those 2 adorable characters at the bottom of the food chain.

Yeah, I hate it when the TC are late with the edocs, what I really hate is I contact the BO to let them know, then after the signing is all done the TC berets me for not contacting them that I changed the signing time...um, did I miss something???

I've started telling them in advance" if docs are not here by , you will have to find someone else to do closing" Seems to work so far.......
