It's 11.72 miles one way. What are you talking about?

Then I stand to be corrected and I am sorry.... it was just too convenient that I had a phone call for the exact same thing just a few moments before the first thread.

Since when does 11.72 on way add up to 30 round trip? MN

Now that that is settled...

I usually charge half of my base fee for the second loan and then if it is edocs my normal edoc fee and then half of that fee for the second set of docs. Does that make sense?

My fee for a 1st/2nd would range from $175 - $200. As mentioned you take your fee and add 1/2 more if the travel distance grows.

I had trouble getting $175 for 1st and 2nd edocs,40 minutes round trip. The SS said he never paid more than $150. Let's see if I get paid the $175, I doubt he'll call me again.

So it looks as though the "add 50%" formula is correct. It is just a matter of what base fee you start at.

Well ........ if nobody else is calling ......... what's your alternative? :o]

Look at it this way:

Your driving time was less than an hour, but make it an hour round trip. You're going to spend maybe up to three hours, IF you have a bad time of it. 4 hours total on a really BAD day.

That's $37.50 an hour, which is more than you'll make flipping tacos in MacDoogles, but hardly a good wage unless you get 40 hours a week of it.

And it's a little light of the norm, IF you're an experienced, good, signing agent.

BUT ............. if you're just working UP TO that level, you might take every one you get for a while ..............

That sounds nice until you factor in supplies, printing time, and taxes. Oh and what about those who have to get medical insurance. Not to mention that a tc will pay $150 for just a refi/edocs. The ss is either sqeezing you or doesn't have thier fees structured properly to make a profit.
