You will have to set it up.

Go to start. Go to settings. Go to control panel. Go to printers & faxes. Right click on hp1300
printer icon. Go to device settings. Set tray #1 (Manual Feed) to envelope#10, Tray#2 to letter, and tray#3 to legal. Hit apply. Now find a pdf file to print. Hit print. When the print
screen comes up, go down to the bax that say pdf paper size. Check it. Hit ok. It should now recogize what size to print.

Does it have a manual feed above the first paper tray? Usually there will be a door covering it

Tray #1 should be the 10 page (max) Manual feed tray according to the specs. Just follow the directions, and once you get into device settings, you will see what you have, and you can set it up the way you want it.

Set tray #1 for letter and tray #2 for legal. Brad, you're thinking of the 1320 setup, not the 1300.

Also, be sure you set the option that a second tray is installed BEFORE setting tray #2 to legal.
