LandAmerica - faxing & Fees.

About LandAm... one of my most favorite...it's depressing about all this faxing now.
I know that it is not their fault, I know it is their client's request. And, I know it is because of sloppy notary work. I wasn't sloppy yet I still have to comply with this micromanagement technique.

I really do hate doing these fax backs now required.

The problem I really have with it is that there seems to be no understanding that when you expect MORE work you have to pay more. We are just supposed to accommodate the request without question? I wish they'd have at least said, 'will you continue at the same rate or do we need to look for another notary?'

It's like do they think the notary doesn't notice???

I like working with them too. However, I told them I only fax the first 4 pages for free and you know, I didn't have all that faxing! I guess they just couldn't handle an extra $25 fee!

I have done a few recently for them after not hearing from them in ages. I did not have to fax back. Unless it is a particular lender, mine was MidFirst. Anyway, I hear ya and I don't see Landam paying extra for anything.

Anon - With Midfirst, I don't have to either. This is one of their biggest accounts...I do lots of them.

Beth I- just did not fax back and got by with it for over a month. All of a sudden there has been an apologetic crack down and they tell me that the client wants to see the docs. Hmm...okay.

Let me know if you have to start faxing.

There's always some cheap SA to take the signings, that's why they rarely call back with approval for my fee.
