Re: "Just say NO" $80 bucks w/edocs! Are they NUTS? nm

When they called me I couldnt hear their name, I only hear "title co"at the end, then she proceed to
tell me 80.00, I couldnt help and laugh a little, and then I told her my price."Oh no, I cant do it for that"

The sad part is that the borrower is not getting charged less if we lower the price, they are still charging
the borrower 250.00 or 325.00 for notary services. So am I supposed to lower my fee so they can
survive in this decadent business?

Just start cutting out the middle man. Start building your own client list, namely TC/Escrow companies. How this SS bologna ever started is a wonder to me they cost money for TC/Escrow companies when they can deal with us directly #1 we are cheapier #2 they can be sure of who they are dealing with and are able to find us if there is ever a problem. SS just make NO sense to me.

Again, I can't stress this enough! "The Notaries are taking all the chances!" Independent Contractors-own insurance-own overhead-own advertising-etc,... So what everyone really NEEDS to do is just start marketing the Source of our business and bypass the SS.

My opinion only.

I don't blame you. I did one for them in Oct for 125.00 and only 15 miles away and edocs.

Wow! $80 .....I had a SS offer $65 for edocs!!!! The girl could not understand why I was laughing so hard!! I quoted my fee and she said they were not even getting that much! I told he she should make sure she has some resumes out at other places cause one day she is gonna come to work and find the doors closed.

They do call back when they can't find anyone else and

do meet your fee. I have also had a lot of offers for $75 or $65 for edocs. Some call back, most don't as they probably find someone to do it for that.

I don't get it I still get normal email doc fee from them..

and more for counties outside my own. As I recall there seemed to be a short period when they were lowballing, offering $75 for edocs, but they have been calling again and meeting my fee without blinking and paying on time. Who ever knows in this biz.

Re: I don't get it I still get normal email doc fee from them..

I've had them try to give me the cheap fee only once so far. I have 2 for them tomorrow and both are my usual fee. There wasn't even an attempt to offer a lower fee. Maybe it has to do with the lender involved.
