My vent for the day...

People who insist upon saying "hisself." You know what I mean..."he'll do it hisself." My other pet peave is there is no "i" realtor! Okay, I'm better now. Let's just blame on the cold remedies!

I'm still laughing Charm. Maybe I could conform?? Let's see, when Hubby gets home he can cook dinner hisself while I tries to talk to the realitor. Maybe we can buy a piece of land for Valentimes Day.
Thanks for the laugh Ladies.

I only finished one box today...I'm cutting back.
Btw, Carolyn, did you know Jack Daniels greatly improves Theraflu's taste and medicinal quality? My husband figured that out hisself!

Re: Other Pet Peeves

Other sayings that make me want to scream...

bof' of us
pacifically (instead of specifically)
I got throwed out
I seen it
"you know" in someone's vocabulary about 100 times (no, I DON'T know)
imput (instead of input)

Re: Other Pet Peeves

How about when you "aks" somebody instead of "ask" - it must be the upbringing in their vocabulary. Some people also say "light skinnd-ed instead of "light skin" - too much!

I've been battling this miserable cold for 3 days! I'm now contemplating adding the JD to my cocoa. It's very cold here tonight. Might as well self medicate for warmth as breathing clearly still hasn't returned.

My peeve:

Where 'you at'?
'You at' the store?
'You on' the computer?

I frequently need to correct my 14 year old on all the above.

Well, if we gonna list 'em <g>, how about watching CNN or MSNBC or even Fox and hearing " we're back after this" when they cut to a commercial. That really makes me want to write them a nasty.

Re: Wrong kinda yous

I thought "you's" was a local slang word in Philly...I didn't know people said that in other areas. (Not that I'm saying I "use" that word! lol) One that gets on my nerves is "Redicalos". (It's ri·dic·u·lous!!!)
