Still a no no....
Imagine this if you will.... You go to the signing on Sunday, everthing is signed and notarized for Monday's date... you leave the borrowers home and everything is peachy keen...
Then suddenly the borrowers are killed in a car crash that same night. How are you going to explain how the borrowers signed a document on Monday if they died on Sunday?
Things that make you go hmmm.....

Incorrect! Notary is not responsible for content of doc and
that includes the date!

Re: Incorrect! Not!
Your notarized documents need to reflect the actual date of signing, not a past date or a future date.

This is not about the document date, but the signature date. If it's not being notarized, that's another story, but the date you notarize - i.e. when the signer personally appeared before you - is the date that should go on your certificate and should be accurately recorded without exception.

In Connecticut a jurat is legally considered to be separate document even if it appears on the same page as the document to which it applies. Therefore, the jurat must reflect the correct date on which it was signed.
