On the serious side..
I called to comfirm an appt for tomorrow. The woman (single bo) stated that she needed to consult with her attorney and she wasn't ready to sign anything. I asked her if she had let her LO know this, "No, and I'm having a nervous breakdown right now, so this is postponed until January". I know this is a tough time of year for alot of people. I thought of leaving a gift of brownies and candy on her porch, she is a neighbor although we don't know each other. What do you think?

Sometimes we tend to over think things. How will she take it? Will she be embarrased? Will she be annoyed that a stranger went to her house? In this case she told you how she was feeling. I think it's wonderful that your heart is telling you to do something nice for someone that needs it.

You have a good heart, full of 'Christmas' spirit, Blueink. =) An excerpt from Mother Theresa's (and my) favored poem (unknown author):
If you are kind, People may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be Kind anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. You see, in the final analysis. it is between you and God; It is never between you and them anyway

Hey Inky if God has blessed you with a giving heart and the time and resources to do something nice for someone then get those goodies over there. We all know that the holidays can be especially hard for those who are already going through a tough time. Giving her a reason to smile if just for a minute is a wonderful thing.
