Paying a fee for registration with companies?

I need some feedback from anyone who has had any experience with companies, asking for a registration/processing fee (normally $25) for signing up with them. This does not make sense to me, as there is normally no guarantee from them regarding future assignments. Should they not be paying us for increasing their inventoty/database of Signing Agents? Thanks in advance for the feedback. Prosperous 2006 to everyone!!!!

I don't "pay" for work. If a company requires a sign up fee, I don't sign up.

I had the same question when I was new and was told to pass on it. There are too many good companies that don't require any up front fee, and as you say, they may not ever send any business your way anyway.

No, don't pay.
