Pittsburgh (with an "h") is in PA and NH that I know of.

Pittsburg (without the "h") is in CA, TX and KS, that I know of.

Of course, now I now there is a Pittsbury, CA. I guess that's where the Pittsbury Doe Boy comes from. <g>

Hey PAW...Pittsburg NH without an "H"....

This is a common mistake. Lots of people think Pittsburg NH has an H on the end, that's why whenever someone asks the name of the town, most people reply with "Pittsburg without an H".

Having owned property in Pittsburg, NH, I know better. Shame on me. Of course, I still get Hillsborough County confused with Hillsboro County and have never understood why Coos County is pronounced the way it is.

Have you ever been to Weare center? There used to be a sign in the center of town that pointed south to So. Weare, east to Weare and north to ... you guessed it ... No Weare.

Where did you own in Pittsburg, and how long ago. I have been here for 18 years and I love it here. Yes I have been to Weare and have seen those signs...lol!

7 miles east of Rte 3 along the Canadian border. It was a parcel of a tree farm with a hunting cabin on it. I sold it to my brother-in-law, who still lives in Manchester. Can't do anything with the property because of the tree farm agreement. At least not for the next few years.
