Re: Acknowledgement...

I had one real question- I finally decided to try ask for some help here on the notary board- what was so wrong with that? I did check our state requirements they said they didn't know and didn't seem to care- I have never seen this acknowledgement out of the 1500+ loans I have closed or when I worked as an escrow officer for 3 years. I just wanted to see what some of you thought. I was pretty sure I knew the answer I wanted to be sure- It shocks me when I read some of the profiles here - about being professional-and courteous- then I read how you seem to get your kick slamming other adults here- it is always the same people slamming the same old stuff- That is why some of us feel like we have to post anonymous. If you can help. Help- if not dont bother - and move to the next post... it is that simple-

Re: Acknowledgement...

If you can't handle the concept of people replying to your posts in whatever way they see fit, then don't post on this board. It's THAT simple.

I have no idea what specifically you're whining about since you started a new thread and I haven't quite memorized every post on this board. But I will say that any competent notary should know what their state laws are for an acknowledgement. If it complies, use it, if it doesn't, attach a loose one. You really needed help with that?

Offensive Posts on Notary Talk

This is a notice to dispense with the offensive posts. Offensive posts include, but are not limited to:

a) Posts containing overt or veiled bigotry, bias or sexism. We have received numerous complaints in connection with messages falling under this category. Take it somewhere else, keep it at home, or change your outlook on life.

b) Abusive posts. Stop the personal attacks and tone down the callous criticism. Please stop jumping on people for asking naïve questions; when reminding other posters of netiquette, be polite and sensitive (not everyone knows TYPING IN ALL CAPS is poor netiquette); recognize that not everyone has come from the same educational or ethnic background as you and expect some variance in English, grammar and usage, etc. In short, if it appears someone is making an earnest attempt to actually learn something or to be helpful and you are inclined to attack them, not responding at all may be a better choice.

c) Advertising yourself.

Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in:

a) The disabling of your notary profile,
b) The black-listing of your notary profile, or
c) Complete restriction / lack of access to our site.

Occasional light political humor and off-topic jokes are still welcome.

Re: Acknowledgement...Anonymous

Back off Ms. Escrow Officer that's closed over 1500 loans in Colorado. And, if that statement is true, then you would know WELL what your state laws allowed as far as acknowledgment wording in Colorado. No escrow officer I know (and I know a lot of them, darlin') would post that kind of question regarding a power of attorney. With all that experience they would have the answer, or certainly have co-workers who did, if you're that inexperienced.

I'm thinking you're "case no. 2" as Sarahbeth described earlier. Reposting something the Notary Rotary owners doesn't support you, at all.

Yeah. Although I'm no where close to typing as fast as you Carolyn, I can make the keyboard smoke when I want to...the downside is I forget to check the dropdown menu on the author! Sheesh.

If you are the anonymous from post #79867 -----

Well, I have seen this acknowledgement quite a bit, and I am nowhere near carrying the title of "escrow officer". Makes me wonder how long one needs to remain on the knees to get that title with little intelligence.

You are a joke, truly.

As a matter of fact, there is a notary on the board that can vouch for the truthfulness of that profile, me. Further, I have commercial broker personal friends who can also vouch for Charles' resume.

Either you are jealous, or complete out of your element. I vote for the latter. You are dangerously close to stalking, in the broader definition of the word. I wouldn't mess with it, anonymous - as I said, you're totally out of your league.

Raised by wolves?

Charles is the Real Deal! Charles is the kind of person Anonymous wishes she could be. I know your writing style Anonymous same old mean spirited catty remarks to people you don't even know.

My bet is you were raised by wolves, you always attack from the back (anonymous) don't even have the courage to say who you are. You sure were'nt raised to tell the truth or be honest.

Get off Charles back. All I have ever seen Charles do is help people on this board and act like a gentleman 100% of the time.

Life is to short for anyone to be so nasty 24/7.

Re: Raised by wolves?

Not that it matters I posted one question as Anon and I am a "he" and as I read there are a handful or other anon that have posted after me- Who knows who 'Hides' behind anon- If you are posting with your "real" name and I was a company rep looking for a notary on this site and was reading this board- I would say shame on some of you- I would not like you representing my company- the childish remarks- I would be afraid you would cut down the LO or the lender to the borrower..... you should remember who reads these board- it might feel good for a minute to bash someone- but I hope it effects what ever else you do long term- Merry Christmas

So, what you're saying is that if you post using your real name or other identifiable moniker, then the posts should be professional and above board. Right? Sounds good to me.

I personally don't care who reads my posts. I have said it a dozen times "If they don't want to use my services because of something I post on this board, then I would not want to work for them anyway"

Thanks for the kind words. No need to get upset, I

always love to see my own words in print. I am flattered that anonymous would take the trouble to see who I was and then to go to the additional trouble to copy and post my profile. I was only taking advantage of the fact that anonoymous quoted Harry's rules for ofensive posting. I found the posts from anonymous to be offensive and so quite within the definition of Harrys rules. Anyway its nice to have friends. TTFN

Re: Thanks for the kind words. No need to get upset, I

That's exactly what happened to me on GMN. For spite an anonymous poster posted all my information, picture, phone, e-mail, address, web page, etc. -- the whole 9 yards. Actually the free publicity earned me quite a bit of money in signings -- especially, seeing how much I pay for the same publicity on this and other boards.

Devil's Advocate here...

I think I may have asked this same question not too long ago-or if I didn't, I had to call the TC and ask as I have never seen that wording before either-well, at least the part that stated "Free act and will." and I ran across it with a Hitlon Vacation packet.

The problem, anonymous, is just that. There's no need to post questions like this anonymously. You could go into your profile and add a moniker that has absolutely nothing to do with you or the state your in. You could have Eatcrap_MN for all anyone cares and someone just might have answered your question.

Re: Devil's Advocate here...

Cheryln, did you read the original post and it's answer in the original thread. The question was answered, anon just didn't like what it said. In fact there were two answers, one for if the question was serious, and one if it were the anon troll that has been peeing on the boards lately. Anon ratted it's ownself out as the troll though writing style and in the way it responded.

I didn't read the whole thread...

but I read the original post and the person did state he/she was from CO. Since, I did run into the exact same thing a few months ago, I thought it just may be different wording than we're used to here as I had never seen it either.

I stopped reading when anon started posting his/her resume :-) as I could careless.

Re: I didn't read the whole thread...

Cherilyn, this all started in another thread, original post #79867. You'll see that there anon didn't put what state this was for. Then when I pointed out that anon ratted anon's own self out as being the troll that has been causing issues on the boards; anon started another thread. If you want you can go back and read it, but really I think that would be giving anon more attention which is exactly what anon wants.
