What part of Oregon? We've had freezing rain in the Willamette Valley from Portland to Eugene. Roads are pretty slick.

I'm 15 miles away in Albany. Somehow it always seems to snow in Corvallis and leave us poor Albanians out. Sigh! He must go to OSU then?

Yes he does, nuclear engineering, graduates in June 06, he has friends in Albany. I have been to both towns. Lovely drive up from CA., long but nice. He met a gal there, a teacher they are getting married in July 06.

OSU is supposed to have a great engineering program. My cousin's husband has a degree in engineering from OSU. Not sure what type of engineering though. My younger brother lives in Corvallis. It's a beautiful town.

Yes, it is very nice, my boss here in CA got her degree there, in teaching. I have a full time job other then the notary work.

I live in Lake Arrowhead, CA which is in the San Bernardino Mountains and county as well but I work in Murrieta, CA which is Riverside County and about 60 miles from San Diego.

I mother has family in Riverside. My grandmother is from there. I visited my great-grandparents and great-aunts there when I was a kid. They have all passed, so I haven't been there in years. To be honest, all I remember is going to Disneyland and lots of freeways!

Well you are right there is plenty of freeway, however where I live, there is none, it is a mountain community filled with nature and a beautiful lake but I do drive freeway to get to my work once off the mountain where I live.
