TLA's 4 NSA's

A couple of posters have suggested putting together a list of acronyms especially for our industry. To honor that request, I have started a page on my website called TLA's 4 NSA's (http://www.pawnotary.com/tla.htm). It is work in progress so it is far from being complete. The intent of the page is not to repeat the common internet acronyms (there's a link to the IAD for that), but acronyms unique and/or specific to our industry.

As I said, it is work in progress and I've just started with it, so if you have any TLA's to add to the list, please email them (with a short and concise definition) to me for inclusion in the list.

Thank you.

Hrmph. You have EO....

....but forgot TO....sigh....truly at the bottom of the totem pole is the lowly title officer.

Here's a few:

TY Thank you (but..not for leaving out 'TO')
TD Trust Deed (or DOT, Deed of Trust)
SI Statement of Information...that dreaded 10 year history
PCOR Preliminary Change of Ownership form (for the county tax man)
GD Grant Deed
AF Affidavit
CHI Chihuahua (just kidding)

Oops, you said to email them. Now I know why I'm a lowly TO...I can't follow instructions Smiley

Re: Hrmph. You have EO....

Here's one; when the docs have to be redrawn they are FUBAR. That would stand for Bleeped Up Beyond All Recognition. I'm sorry my friends I just can't help myself. Any takers on what film FUBAR came from?

Or here's one of my favorites. When someone asks "what do I fill in for venue?". Let us respond with RTFM. Or Read The Bleeping Manual (this would be your states handbook if there is one). Again sorry the smart alek in me is in full bloom this morning.

Catch 22 , and how about "SHALL"...

or " Staying home a lot lately " for those who set
their " I won't walk out my door for less than $xx"
too high for current conditions.
Happy New Year
gotta run

Got it bookmarked. Thank you for the great efforts!! I look forward to passing it on, knowing that it's quality work.
