deadbeat notary list

Just read on GMN of a new site called deadbeat notary. Kinda interesting....
They are offering memberships for people to go on and list notaries names and contact info and to tell of thier bad experiences with various notaries.
What do ya'll think? Thought everyone would find this a little interesting...
Link is www.deadbeatnotary.com

probably designed by a disgruntled ss

I think someone should create a deadbeat ss site for all the notaries to use.

I think "all" should eliminate ss's. I think escrow, title companies should just keep their own list of people to call and take the middleman out.

It's registered through domainsbyproxy.com, so there's no telling who is actually doing it. However, on the domains by proxy website is the following:

• Transmit spam, viruses or harmful computer programs;
• Violate the law or infringe a third party’s trademark or copyright;
• Engage in morally objectionable activities, including but not limited to those which are child pornographic, defamatory, abusive, harassing, obscene, racist, or otherwise objectionable.

and

Legal Complaints: The majority of Domains by Proxy customers act within the letter of the law. However, on occasion our service is used in conjunction with illegal or immoral behavior. If you believe a domain registration we hold violates the law or someone's legal rights or is engaged in morally objectionable activities, we want to fully investigate the matter and act where we can. I'd say that the nature of this new website is pretty defamatory by nature. Anyone up for sending a letter to domainsbyproxy.com? I think it would be pretty funny to get the site shut down before it even goes up.

Not that it's going to be a success anyway, who is going to pay $30 or $50 a year just to be able to trash notaries on a message board?

Perhaps they believe that they'll make $$$ from curious SAs that might sign up just to see what the site is about.

I agree.

They had better make damn sure that they have proof to back their claims up. Otherwise, I smell a lawsuit.

Re: Can You Just see it...

Hey! Bonnie,

It will never cease to amaze me the way these scabs come up with another way to squeeze a buck out of people. How right you are "Live is to short" to walk around with an "attitude." Go for the Gusto! Live life to the very best of your ability.

Not a shred of decency or an sign of class with this new website (Gee! that took a lot of creative imagination) Bud! All I can do is shake my head in disgust. Yet another attempt to assault our Profession. We don't get enough bologna from low-ball SS trying their best to "Rip us to shreds."

Don't you wish you had $5 bucks for every bad experience you've had with a SS - errors-incorrect information- then chase them for your fee-Ect,Ect,Ect.
Truely it's a two-way street. We just keep going, straighten out the errors, smooth down the borrowers feathers and get the job done. Long and erratic hours-winter & summer-traffic-diffacult people-deal with some pretty snotty SS employees. And we pay for it all ourselves. The proud American Independent Contractor. Yikes!

For once I would like see a website that say's "Thanks for your hard work" and let's continue working as a team. We would both be in a win-win situation-Opps! that would mean we would have to impersonate Professional adults. What could I be thinking! lol

After a long, hard, icy-snowy day signing'n up folks up that website is just a slap in the face.

Hopefully it will do a nose-dive into the trash where it belongs.

A Pooped-out Teddog

Re: Deadbeat, greedy SS...

I had a local SS tell an out of town SS not to call me direct because I was working for her. I did a total of two jobs for the local SS back in August and had told her 4 day ago I didn't want to work for her at all ( she had called me 3 times recently). The other SS "R" had called me on previous ocassions direct since she had found me on another site, but due to scheduling problems I never did a signing for her. The local SS "K" and I are listed on the same sites ( including this one). She is more experienced than I am but I have been receiving plenty of requests for Spanish signings and I think it's sh---y that she is asking people not to call me direct so that she can take advantage of my skills. I am not her employee and had not even spoken with her until recently. Excuse my language, I do take pride in my work and always do the best that I can .

To top it off the local SS/SA who had just finished telling me that she makes $250 and up had offered me $75, but what made it worse was her asking me to pass on leads to her from my better paying clients .

Did you tell her that was about the funniest joke you'd heard this year?
The more I hear lately about some of the SS out there, (there are still a few good one's that do pay fair out there), the more I have to wonder...
The deadbeat site make me wonder... Maybe if we tell them no to their lowball ridiculous fees, they figure they'll post on there how lousy we are then the next time they call us with thier lousy fees we'll have to take it since no one else is calling after they slander us all over the board. Definately wouldn't put it past some of them!

Re: Bonnie...

To be honest at the time my jaw just dropped. I'm usually pretty nice and do pass on leads to others ( I know, some say it's stupid) but not if I am being manipulated or beign talked down to. If she reads the board here she'll see this and I'm fine with it because even though I am not as aggressive as she is I'm not deceitful.
BTW your other post was funny, but so right.

What never ceases to amaze me...

Is how much something can get screwed up between the time it leaves the title co and gets to me, gee, guess who's in the middle, usually one of the low-ball, no/slow pay, 15 million instructions on how to dress/act/behave/wipe your hiney (DUH!) SS's. Imagine that!
I also like those same SS yelling at me that I should have called them INSTEAD of the LO with questions! Excuse me, BUT most of the above mentioned type SS don't have a CLUE what I'm talking about when I DO call them with a question. I've heard things like "What exactly is an occupancy affidavit?" & "Why are they questioning that, tell them just to sign it."
My question is: Why WOULD I call someone that does not even know what docs are IN a loan pkg, and usually has NO CLUE as to what the answer could be other than "just make 'em sign it." ?
No Thanks! I'll deal with the title co or LO who actually knows what's going on.
Some of the people you talk to at certain SS's sound like they're still in High School and the SS is their after school job. And THIS is who's going to answer the borrowers question??
Sorry, just had to VENT! LOL!

Hope you're ready for Christmas and the weather is holding.

Yes, not so great memories of Vietnam. The movie was just that, a movie. I suppose I liked it for many reasons. How young, eager and brave we are in our youth. Never in a thousand years could we invision the horrors of war or being a part of it. I call Apocolypse Now a "think" movie, not entertainment. I lost many life long friends and relatives there and I will never forget them. That pain never goes away, especially at the Holidays. So please don't think I was making light of that Black time. Sorry, if I in any way hurt you Lawrence or made you feel bad.

Best regards to You

Teddog -

In September when we had the Rita evacuees with us here, that was one of the movies I picked out of my son's collection for my mom and her boyfriend to watch. I had only seen it once before then (17 maybe) and I was so young that I missed a lot of the meaning so I wanted to watch it again.

The soundtrack in that film is really something else.

Bonnie RE:disclaimer

To bad for them a disclaimer doesn't absolve them of sin. Just think of the suckers that will pay to sign-up and then get sued. Even if they do not say who they are Anons' a lawyer will get an injuction for the names from that website in order to sue.
It would be interesting to see how a judge would call this one. The site is being started with the Intent to name-names and intentionally set-up a class of people for slander. Hummmm!

Unlike our claims for non-payment from certain companies-we have it in black & white, we are stateing a fact when we do not get paid and post it.

I know for a fact that I will not pay 1 cent to that site for any reason.

Teddog-
We think alike! LOL!
Someone on the other site asked what the diff was between this site and something like notary beware. Diff is, when we complain about a specific co not paying us, we do have the info to back it up. Little things like the confirmation, tracking #'s, certified letters sent, etc. It would be a little different if we just came on and burned them because of bs reasons.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with this!
