overwhelmed

I just got my commission paperwork today from Sacramento, I've already rec'd offers from NNA, Mc Clone and a couple of other surety places. I have a the supplies except for the $15,000 req. bond, E&O bond, a self-inking Seal stamp and maybe be a hand held embosser. Anyone awake at this late hour with any input? I'm fading fast.

For years, I've purchased all my supplies from Abraham at American Notary Group (www.AmericanNotary.com). He is willing to negotiate prices and will sell you any product from any vendor with the same or lesser price for your continued loyalty/business. Great guy -who can get you a bond in 24 hours and a notary seal in a few days -- here's his phone number: (323) 349-0860. Please tell him I sent you Smiley

If you click on the Notary Supplies tab, you will find:

$15,000 4-year bond: $28
$15,000 4-year E&O: $44
Pre-inked seal stamp: $18
Ideal Model M embosser: $24
Sales tax: $0
Priority Shipping for all: $3.85

We can write the bond and E&O in about 30 seconds and make the pre-inked stamp same-day. Of course, it would not ship until we receive your Certificate of Authorization. Instructions for mailing that are provided when you are ordering.

Note that "self-inking" stamps are generally less expensive and provide fewer impressions than "pre-inked" stamps before having to re-ink, so make sure you're comparing apples-to-apples. Oh, and you will probably be receiving a coupon from us for 10% off non-insurance supplies. If you were to use that on the above order, you would deduct $4.20.

I am into four....and that is because you don't use as much space with Notary Rotary's "Modern Journal". It really is a great find.

Re: Wow, 4 journals!!!

Well, that is over the last couple of years. When I first started, I was doing a lot of work for SS and it seems that every job I did was for refi's. Huge packets with multiple acknowledgements and affadavits to record. That takes a lot of space on the average journal.

Re: Wow, 4 journals!!!/ Stupid Question

Ok so with these new journals that have them all listed so that you can check them do you still have to fill out a seperate line for each or can youjust do it on the one line? I have been filling out seperate lines for each notarization for each borrower. Can I just condense it all to one line and just check all the notarizations I have done?
TIA

Re: Wow, 4 journals!!!/ Stupid Question

It is all on the same signature space. If you have two loans, you will need to go to a seperate line for the second loan. Unless I have been doing this incorrectly (please someone...tell me I haven't), I use one line entry for each loan. All the info you need is in one line entry, as well as signature spaces for two borrower's ID info and signatures.

Re: Wow, 4 journals!!!/ Stupid Question

Ok the oneI have is like that except for the signature line there is only one for one person to sign. There iare two spaces for id's so I was just wondering. I guess I can just do two lines then one for husband and one for wife with them all checked is that correct?

I guess...without seeing it, it is hard to say. The journal that I use now is the Notary Rotary journal.

Re: Wow, 4 journals!!!/ Stupid Question

Now that I took a long pause to reply....I fill in each notarization on a separate line in TX. Then, I take a ruler and place a diagonal line through the signature area where the borrower(s) only have to sing once....unless the entires continue on the next page...which means I have them sign twice. There is usually not enough room to place all notarizations on one line, anyway.
