Bad day, really BAD DAY!
I am so thankful that I have been busier than a (___fill in the blank__), but today it all went to (__fill in the blank__). FedEx was late, edocs were late, I had back to back to back closings AND guess what? My printer (blanked) out -- Oh and I reached the RED Zone, to the MAX. (referring to a post last weekend by _____________, sorry can't remember.
Why is it that when all is going so right, it all goes to (__fill in the blank__)?
Well, thanks to all of you, I will now have to put some of the knowledge I have learned here to work. Tomorrow, I will go to OfficeMax (Not Staples), sign up for "coupons" purchase an HP printer, ship off the old POS (still under warranty) so that I have a back up, AND order refill toner for my new HP 3015 from tonerkits.com.
I'm sure glad I found this site. Not only for the wealth of info. but, for the support we give each other on the bad days.
I need a hug and a stiff drink.

I used to love Mad Libs!
When I'm upset, I tend to be a bit of a potty mouth. Just trying to keep it clean.
Thanks for the giggle.

Becca,
You specified that you "reached the Red zone, to the MAX". The important thing I guess is that you remember the content of the posting and not who posted it (but actually it happened to be me).

Thanks Ted - Credit where credit is due!
Referring to your post alowed my to say something I would not normally say on a public forum. Those that read the post know exactly why my day was not just bad, but BAD BAD.

You are not alone
Today was nuts for LOTS of people.
UPS lost a package of signed docs. Of course, the borrowers live 55 minutes away from me. Cross your fingers for me that the docs resurface!
Docs for last minute eDoc signing were 3 hours late.
I think I got off easy: 3 couples I know had MAJOR fights by 4pm. Each person in each couple is devoted to the marriage, so this was shocking.
Would someone from the Psychic Network please let us know when this will all be over!?!

Re: You are not alone
It must be the phase of the moon.
Today I got a signing for tomorrow. Haven't been able to contact the borrower. Home phone is ring-no-answer, then voicemail that says the person's voicemailbox hasn't been set up yet. The alledged cell phone turns out to be a modem. 10:14 PM email from the signing service says "I have contacted the title company for [the] correct numbers". Wanna bet the docs don't arrive in time for the signing?
And Lady Rouge and I had words because I delayed us leaving 'cause I was trying to contact borrower and signing service. (Yes, I apologized.)
At least the weatherman said we'll be getting just rain instead of the previously-forecast inches++ of snow....

Consider yourself hugged!
The drink I can't give you, but I've just hoisted a glass in your direction.
Hang in! It will be better tomorrow!

Yes, there are days when I think it better to not even get out of bed. My morning began with me running behind. I had two projects to deliver to an attorney, who, of course, waited until the last minute ... but that's another story. When grabbing my purse off the kitchen table, it knocked into my cell, which went crashing to the floor. Unfortuantely, there was nothing slow motion about it, and I was unable to catch it in mid-air. It broke the antenna completely out of the phone.
Although the phone still worked *kind of* I couldn't get more than a bar and one-half and there was so much static that I knew the attorney was just going to have to wait a while longer because now my phone was top priority. I got to Verizon at 8:45 only to find that they don't open until 9:00, and not one minute earlier. After they finally opened the door, the woman told me that the monthly insurance fee on the phone for lbreakage/damage/repair, etc. was only good during the warranty period. I'm sorry, but why on earth would I have cause to use such insurance while the phone was still covered under the warranty period? And if that is the case, why is Verizon still taking my "insurance" money monthly without telling me it is worthless, because the phone is out of warranty?
She then proceeded to tell me that it wasn't her problem and if I wanted to get the phone fixed there were only two Verizon dealers that had a tech. One was about 35 miles one way and the other was about 15. I decided it wasn't worth my time and anger to continue the conversation of the damage/replacement insurance on her, and I would deal with someone a lot higher up than her later on, so I oped for the 15 mile dealer. I get there at 9:45 and they don't open until 10:00 -- EXACTLY 10:00. Everyone else waiting for them to open was sitting down, although I was standing first at the door. It was a scene similar to the Mervyn's commercial "open, open, open." I was first in and it took less than 5 minutes to get a new antenna and was then able to begin my day that should have started almost 2 hours before.
Now, I just have to deal with the monthly insurance issue that I've been paying monthly for 2 years.
