Calling Select Notaries--Michigan--Experience Please
I am going back in the originiating business. I have been out for awhile and I have been offered a branch management position I couldn't refuse. However, I negiotated and I, the branch manager, will hire our signers directly. I know how important a closer is and I want only the experienced. I am going to put the notary fee right on the HUD with the notaries name will be listed on the HUD. Obivously the TC will dispurse directly to you and I would ask you invoice them so they know where to send the check. I know the value of a good notary and I know that a good notary deserves to capture all of the fee. We will be lending in other states soon but my business plan at this time is to focus on the Michigan market. Please leave your email below or your full name so I can find your profile on notaryrotary. If I don't know you from posting on the board I am going to do a general phone interview (just 5-10 minutes of your time) so I do not have "the few, the proud, the unfundable"
Ted--where are ya? I tried to find your profile to no avail. Can I have your contact info if you would be so kind.

You may have missed Ted as he is a Premier member and his profile is not eye level when you look at the screen quickly!
I would love to know if your title company is local; so many frown on "outside closings" i.e. Shore Mortgage.
I am in Macomb county; zip code 48042 in the event you would like to view my profile on Notary Rotary.
PS Are you a branch manager for Ameriquest?.

No Julie--Not Ameriquest---Been there (long long time ago----almost painful to admit) When I negiotated my offer I negiotated using Title of my choice, appasiers of my choice, etc.... I have been around in this biz and I know the only way to be successful is through loyalty to third party vendors. Julie if you want to keep yourslef out of stress and awkward situations I would re-think the Ameriquest thing JMHO

I don't close Ameriquest, therefore I didn't want to waste time if that was your company.

Hi ItsMe123,
You had inquired as to my whereabouts. As Julie so aptly noted I guess I have been lurking around at the premier level of notary rotary. For the moment the best way to reach me is through my email address, which is pretty simple: my name and yahoo.com, so it is "[e-mail address]". Please leave your name and phone number and a good time to call, and I will call you as I would like to follow up on this.
I must say this sure sounds like a very interesting proposition. Thanks for your interest in all of us and the direction you wish to follow.

Now if only the "rude" ones would move to Michigan
I would have them sign our deals down all day long. I guess BrendaTX isn't a "rude" one but maybe we could get here too

That's nice of you to say, Michelle. I hope you have multitudes of success and do great things. How wonderful of you to remember the NSAs and negotiate terms for them into your contract.
I hope you keep close tabs on us! And, I hope you'll send me your email - Do it d!!##$!#m-it.
(Was that rude enough?)

Someone's singing my song!
But Michigan in the winter? I'm a spoiled Southern California boy, I'd break in about 6 hours.

Re: Someone's singing my song!
CN,
Heh, keep in mind three days from now (plus a year) the Super Bowl will take place in Detroit. From what I understand there are all sorts of fun activities planned (many of them outside, in fact, where hopefully one will be in harmony with the elements). I am sure it will be a super time!! Ok. Now granted when it's all over everybody gets to go back to where they came from.

You can find me on Notary Rotary too. Look under Grand Traverse or Leelanau Counties, or Traverse City (I don't live in Traverse City and am not in TC's County either -- but, that's how it goes in a very rural area... but you know that).

Maureen--Sorry I have a northern notary
Maureen I currently have a northern notary. I could keep you for "back up" but I thought I would be honest

Don't bother having me as back-up.

Re: Sorry I have a northern notary
I guess I don't understand. What if you have two closings, on the same day at the same time in two different northern Michigan counties--you know how it can be at month end. It seems prudent to me, to have several notaries to cover all areas at all times. Or what if the first notary goes on vacation or has car trouble, etc. Heck, I guess after 22 years in this business, I must have missed something.

I have a Dell 1700 and I love it. I have the dual tray and it is fast. I have had no problems with edocs whatsoever. I also maxed out my memory on it as it came low memory.
