End of Month

I read earlier about someone loving the end of the month. I wonder why I'm having such a slow end of the month. Could it be because I had a closing last week and my computer caught a virus at the last minute and I couldn't print the docs. I was basicly fired from the job. I felt sooo bad. I emailed the mtg co and the title co and apologized. I even offered them a courtesy closing. Does anybody think this is going to affect my rep? I am truly a hard and dedicated worker, and I was so upset. PLEASE HELP! I need some words of encouragement as well as the TRUTH.

I for some reason always have a big week before end of month. My ameriquest month end is always big (they have 7 day RTC).... but normal month end for me is always slow... I get a ton of closings from non-ameriquest companies the week before end of month though...and then end of month it tapers off completely....Odd

my experience as a broker Shane, is that we and the lenders coast at the beginning of the month and kick it up to close as much as possible before month's end...it's a numbers game. The first week or so, we recover from intense stress lol. We want our numbers to look good and the borrowers think that they have to come up with less $ for interest, which isn't really that much unless you're purchasing a 6-700k home. Doesn't really matter much for re-fi's. imo

Anon,

For one, I think February is a slower month than other months. Will your (from what you say) negative experience with one mtg co. and title co. affect your reputation. I don't think so. It's not like mortgage companies and title companies are clairvoyant and know everything that is going on. I mean there are lots of other mortgage and title companies, not to mention all the various signing companies, out there.

And as far as the problems with your printer, didn't you have a Kinko's fed-ex nearby?

P.S. also as far as posting, it would really help to know what state you are from. You can use an abbreviation.

Thanks for the advice.
I'm in PA
How do I get it to show next to my name in the "Posted by"

Putting your state in "Posted by"

When you edit your Profile, you can choose what will appear in the "Author" field by default. When you are logged in and you post, the system will give you a couple of choices.

Having your two-letter state abbreviation in your name really helps people help you!

I don't know about you, but I have signings coming out of my ears right now. Also, it would help if you state where you are located. If you were around me, there would be a good possibility I could pass some on to you. I am averaing $150.00 per signing. I got in with an Escrow company in my area and the pay very well! I am also an independent bookkeeper and tax preparer, so he can see how the end of the month effects me.
