You need to write in the county of where you are sitting. That mean where you are performing the signing. Not where the property in the documents is located, but where you are at the time of the signing. Just think of "where am I now?" Hope this helps. : )

Depressing
Most of the time I am a cheerful and upbeat person regardless of circumstances. But this is depressing. I am in disbelief that yet another poster asks for help on that question--from a "test" no less. Sad to see how the character and the quality of our notary "colleagues" are disintegrating into nothing.

Re: Depressing
I'm just waiting for the inevitable "do I have to apply my seal when I do a notarization?" question. Or perhaps "I just passed my test. What's a notary?"

Did you miss the "how many times so I stamp the cert question?"

Unfortunately, I did not miss that one, Jon.
As a result, I had LIRACO Syndrome.
That's "lazy, indifferent, reckless, anonymous cheater overload."

Re: Depressing
Yeah, I must have missed that one. I shudder to think that what I thought was a ridiculously smartassed reply from me turned out to be an actual question asked on this board.
But am I surprised? Nope.

Re: Depressing
Don't ask that question "do I apply my seal" - some states don't require a seal to be a valid notarization. Another state specific question. Answer - read your manual.

Lure of the BIG MONEY TO BE MADE LOAN SIGNING
That must be the reason for such a basic question even being asked (or just laziness to do some research). As Hugh has stated so many times in the past, if this board was read from beginning to end, the answer would have been given many times over and many times with real life examples. I have no problem with someone posting with a "pen name" if they feel more comfortable with that, but all of these Anons is driving me crazy and I for one am refusing to respond to anyone posting in this manner.
