2005 NNA Conference survey
I've looked over the conference schedules and workshops and it seems that I could learn a lot for being so new in this industry
My question is:
Bally's room rate 97. is that each night? Is it worth spending aprox $800-1,000.+ to attend? Who is considering going? Of those who have in the past, did it help?
I went to conferences in another field and always came back feeling like I could do anything!
TIA for your opinions

Yes, it is $97/night. I am attending - it will be my first time. Not only do I feel I may pick up some useful information, but more so, I am looking forward to meeting and networking with other notaries and SA's as well as potential clients. Remember that your expenses for the seminar, room, and travel are tax deductible as a business expenses.

You do NOT have to book through Bally's to attend the conference. Check pkg. deals (air & hotel) on travelocity, cheap tickets, expedia, etc. I have found deals from Orlando for about $400. I am considering going to the confrence just to meet HisHugeness.

My heart swells at the prospect. I am, incidentally, still looking for a roommate. Do you by any chance own a liquor store and a bass boat?

This will be the 4th year I have attended the NNA Conference; each year I have come away with so much more knowledge. The fact that the costs are deductible is a big plus. I have met and kept in touch with many Noraties & Signing Agents. I will continue attending these conferences since I do benefit from them.

Yes, it was so worth it. NNA puts on one heck of a conference and I will be attending again this year. I started saving the money to attend 2005 the first day of attendence in 2004. I am self employed therefore have to watch my spending. I stayed last year across the street from the conference for $40.00 per night in a 4 star hotel, and thought I did much better then the rest whom stayed at the conference hotel. What think if you look around you will find hotels close to the area for as low as $40.00 per night, you just may have to take the bus.
