Back-Up Notary Stamp
Just a bit of advice for any Notaries out there with children,
It might be a good idea to have a back-up notary stamp on hand in case one of your wonderful darling children should happen to accidently step on your notary bag which has your notary stamp inside and cracks it!
Mine is still imprinting but I have ordered 2 new stamps for back-ups. Accidents happen all the time with my children so this is nothing new to me! BK-FL

I may be dreaming this but I think it is illegal in some states for notaries to have more than 1 seal. Arizona comes to mind for some reason

Yes, it would be a good idea for people to check their state laws on this issue. I know it's illegal to have more than one stamp in Washington.

Ca has no regulations regarding the # of stamps you can have. I have 3, if you want, you could get 10 or 20.

I do not remember reading anything in my states statues, FL, in regards to how many stamps a notary may have in it's possession at one time. I may be wrong in which case I am sure that Paw would have said somethng since he is also from my state and a great source for detailed information and statues.
I posted as a sugestion not as it being a requirement. If your stamp is unusable you are out of business till your new stamp arrives. BK-FL

Florida does not, as far as I'm aware, have any restrictions on how many stamps/seals you can have. Just on the requirements for protecting them and reporting them as being lost or stolen, and proper disposal, once you resign your commission or your term (as shown on the stamp) expires.
