Beware of this company

I have been a signing agent for 6 years and have come across only one signing agency thus far that has treated me in an unprofessional manner, i.e. never paid me for two assignments and used crude words on the telephone. The name of that company is ASAP located in Bakersfield, CA. Has anyone else had a problem with this company?

They have been on my Avoid List since July 04-- The List have been posted here on the Board by quite a few Notaries, if you want to hit Search and enter Avoid Lists then follow the thread..(of course that List is a list of opinions- and may or may not be accurate-- some have great relationships on-going with those listed; so you decide.)

Also the office in Fair Oaks needs to be there as well. Sorry about your problem- but really the info is already out there, but you have to utilize it, to make it work for you.. Not trying to be hard on you personally, honestly--but always check your Own Lists first before accepting any assignment, so at least you go in with Eyes Wide Open.. LOL.

Where is this avoid list? I would like to review this list to avoid any types of unneccessary stress. Thanks.

Anyone ever worked with Ameristar out in Texas?

Good for you. As for Ameristar, did one a while back for them. Pay was within 30 days & met my fees.

Thanks for your response. Please clue me in more precisely where I can find the "Avoid List" on this forum. Per your suggestion, I could not find it in the Search area of this site under the subject "avoid lists." Thanks.

Look on this Board-- Start with Mssg. #8194; 8252; 8430;; And the threads with these..

Since Sept. 19, 04 the lists grow longer and longer-- when you view what Posters say about about their experiences both here and on GMN and Notary Beware has a List of Good and Avoid Companies--

Again there are Notaries who are having very good relationships with some Companies on the list, but when you see repeated Comments-pro and con- it helps you decide' to go or not go'.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you--was gone all day- then took awhile to look up info. here thru threaded Search- but now we have it.. Use it wisely- and start your own listing- to your own system of quick Check when a SS calls...LOL

I would suggest you also use the phrase "no no" as a search tool.

I hear what your saying, still have not been paid, always has excuses. I am starting to wondering if maybe we should call the title companies and check to see if they have been paid for our work. ASAP claims they are not paid and won't pay us if their not paid. What do you think? They are rude..
