Brother printer problems

I am trying to print out documents and for some reason my printer just stopped!! The status button turned red. I've tried turning it off and on again, rebooting my entire computer. It sounds like the wheel has stopped turning , please help!!!

Open the printer, remove the toner cartridge, and look for paper jammed?

Also, pull out the trays to make sure no paper has gotten jammed.

Guess what? I had to go get a brand new one!! The people at office depot are great! They switched it out and gave me a new one!!

It is possible that the paper exit flag was broken or came loose. That is what happened to mine when I had the same problem. It was covered by the Brother warranty.
