If you mean Exclusive Settlement Services (in PA), I've done a few for them. Paid my requested fees and promptly. Very nice to do work for.

Joseph,
With all due respect, now I trust you understand why it helps to give a location when you ask a question about a signing or title company.

Joseph, I have been signed up with them for about 6 months.
1 When I first signed up with them I was able to get several $175 signings a month. I had to drive a long way to get those jobs (50-90 miles one way) but they were available. Three months ago the top-paying jobs dropped to $125, and most of the jobs pay only $75.
2 Also, they no longer guarantee payment. If the loan doesn't fund, you don't get paid.
3 The worst part is that you have to watch the assignment webpage every minute, because when jobs are posted they are usually snapped up within seconds.
I don't think I am getting my money's worth, so I won't be renewing my membership.

DM, I too have been signed up with ESSNetwork since July when the jobs were paying $175 and occasionally $350 for a double. I was getting quite a few jobs which more than made up for the extravagant (sp) fees. Yes, I would have to travel a distance for some of these jobs but that extra $50 paid for gas and time. And then BOOM everything drops to $125 and under. I complained about this to ESS and their answer was that it was not cost-effective for that lender to have to send out checks to each individual notary. They wanted to send out checks to one entity. Plus there is so much competition among the SS companies. I do believe they are trying to rectify this situation and I plan on staying on 'til my year's membership is up and evaluate the situation at that point in time as to whether or not I will bow out.

I E-mailed them a couple months ago with questions prior to signing up for their service and I was told that they were not accepting new members until they finished adjusting their program. However they market themselves as a clearing house between notaries and escrow co. etc. My guess is they are now acting as a signing service and collecting a fee per signing along with your monthly dues and sign- up fee. I don't believe these companies have a problem cutting a separate check to the notary as everyone else is paid separately.

Can you give any particulars on this company? I did a signing for a SS with the name of US-Notaries located in Garden Grove. They closed their doors, and I never received payment for a signing that I completed back in May, 2004. I hope this isn't the same company using a different name! Would appreciate any information , just for comparasion.Thanking you in advance.
