Not Much going on today on this forum. I've been slow all this month from the looks of things maybe it's going to pick up, You think?

Really busy here...just stopped by while printing my docs. I still see more refinancings to come since interest rates remain low. Hang in there.

I hope things pick up for the rest of you.

I'd be busier if I accepted all those $45 - $50 signings. I'm getting tons of those calls and turning them down. Since they don't call back, it can only mean one thing. Someone out there must be mighty hungry.

Im new & signining up with as many signing companys as I can. Have not had one call yet, if everyone is swamped in ca, is it repeat business?, new signing companys or just patience?

The members of this board will be happy to help you >>once YOU have done all that YOU should do to prepare yourself.<<
Please do two things: 1) Read, AND TAKE THE TIME TO FULLY COMPREHEND, your state’s manual for notaries public; then 2) come back to this board. Above the menu of posts, click the "First" button. Go all the way to the very first post in June 2003, "Welcome to the General Discussion Forum." Read all the way to the last post today. You will find your answer many times over in the intervening messages, along with far better information about being a signing agent than you’ll ever get from any certification course. I realize that much of what you will read will be duplicative, and some will be totally irrelevant. But, in sum, reading the archives of this board will almost surely be the most informative thing you will ever do to assist you in being a signing agent. You also would be well advised to pursue any Internet sites that posters have indicated might be helpful in furthering your knowledge.
If, after doing both of the above, your question remains unanswered, then come back and post your question on the board. You will probably find that you will get more and more helpful responses if you post under an identifiable handle and include a state designation in that handle.
Good luck in preparing for a fulfilling career as a mobile notary/signing agent.

Good for you! Those mighty hungry folks are going to be mighty broke when they find out how small their real profit margin is. Or maybe they are just looking for a bunch of tax write offs???!! ;>)

Slow here in NE PA. I only do this PT but usually get 2-3 signings a week. Was called for atleast 4 this month so far but scheduled 2 and 1 cancelled the day of the signing.

I don't know about the rest of the United States but I have only had 10 closings so far this month and I'm praying it will pick. I hope I can schedule a few more before months end.

Sorry to hear your slow too.....but it is comforting to know I'm not the only one. I have recieved 3 signings since my last posting. I would to love to average 30 loans or so not 20. Maybe that is wishful thinking. I'm one of those agents that just can't accept those 50.00 closings unless they are real close to me.
