Got my MoJo work'in

My New Years resoloution is to get organized - so I have more time to play!

I ordered my MoJo six months ago and was too cheap to start using it. Well, I nixed the old journal and started the new year off right.

*NOTE - Florida does not require a journal of Notary Acts. Please check your State laws pertaining to the journal of notary acts. I am not recomending that every Notary start the year off with a new Journal, but if you can, get your MoJo work'in.

Thanks Harry, I got my MoJo work'in and it's work'in for me!

MoJo Workin'

Everybody's doin' a brand-new dance, now
(Come on baby, got my MoJo workin)
I know you'll get to like it if you give it a chance now
(Come on baby, got my MoJo workin)
My little baby sister can do it with me;
It's easier than learning your A-B-C's,
So come on, come on, get your MoJo workin with me!
You gotta swing your hips, now. Come on, baby.
Jump up. Jump back. Well, now, I think you've got the knack.

Now that you can do it, let's make a chain, now.
(Come on baby, got my MoJo workin)
A chug-a chug-a motion like a railroad train, now.
(Come on baby, got my MoJo workin)
Do it nice and easy, now, don't lose control:
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul.
So come on, come on, get your MoJo workin with me!

Move around the floor in a MoJo-motion.
(Come on baby, got my MoJo workin)
Do it holding hands if you get the notion.
(Come on baby, got my MoJo workin)
There's never been a dance that's so easy to do.
It even makes you happy when you're feeling blue,
So come on, come on, get your MoJo workin with me!

Turn up the music!

Brenda - you're talents never cease to amaze me!
Do you have a tune that goes with this also?

No talents, Barb. Remember the song "Do the Locomotion?"

Brenda, you have waaaaay too much time on your hands -- and we are all the better for it (sometimes).

This from a man who argued all night not long ago with an *anonymous* poster in a thread on split infinitives? Anyhow, nice to have you back, Hugh...Sometimes.

Re: Turn up the music!

You are showing your age!

I know this because I know this tune!

I am ashamed to admit I thought it was cool when the song came out. I was only a young teenager so I hope that excuses me. Even today, teenagers have terrible taste in music. I remember my Mom saying she liked the Beach Boys. I thought I should review my positive opinion of them since an Old Fogie had approved them.

Re: Turn up the music!

Little Eva had a number-one hit song called "The Locomotion" in 1962.

Grand Funk Railroad covered this song in the 1970's and it again went to number one.

In the 80's Kylie covered Little Eva's version to score a respectable #3 hit.

So...we can take our pick on decade. FWIW, I am happy to be the greatest age yet: 46.

Old enough to have a good bit of sense, and young enough to be able to say that I still "got it goin' on!" Smiley

wouldn't you?

now that's old.

BrendaTX brags:

***FWIW, I am happy to be the greatest age yet: 46.***

At 46, I still had careers as a magazine publisher and non-profit organization director -- and signing agent -- ahead of me. Plus a brief spell as a college teacher. The "greatest age" is always the one coming up next -- assuming my B&TEW lets me live to see the next one.

Hugh, whose name would automatically change to Ray-Hugh (or Hugh-Ray Boy) if he were to spend much time in Deep East Texas, thoughtfully mused:

I am still holding out for the Queen of the World position. When I am queen, everyone will wear mouse ears, and I shall visit CaliNotary with a 200 sheet spiral notebook in hand every summer.

We will draw tic-tac-toe grids and use our respective notary stamps to play 200 games in 24 hours flat.

No harm will befall us because I will also be in charge of the California notary Police.

I always thought that "Thesaurus Rex" would be a good name for Hugh Smiley
