Help choosing a "dual tray" HP Printer
I need from your personal experience on which model number to buy. I need a model that chooses by it self the legal size and the paper size documents when I print edocs.
TIA

HP LaserJet 2300d is the printer that I have had for over a year now, I LOVE IT!!! You can get the same type of model without the duplexing (double sided printing capability) and you will really get a lot of use out of it. It is a workhorse!

I was looking for the same thing several years ago. I came accross a great deal on a used HP4+ thinking it may work as a 2 drawer would. And guess WHAT; IT DID. The tray holds 81/2 X 11 and has a pull down tray for envelops and hand feed sheets, but it holds about 30-40 sheets (never counted). It pulls from either depending on your settings or the settings of the program you are printing from. It is the same as having two(2) drawers without the expense. If the tray empties before you load more paper, it stops printing. It DOES NOT start printing the 81/2 X 11 from the drawer. My HP 4 only has a single feed so you have to baby sit it. The HP 4+ you can leave it.
