How many journal entries per signing?

If I notarize 20 signatures on 10 documents then I place 20 entries in my journal. Each a separate entry per document/signature. I have been told that this is over kill but to me it is important to have a record of each document and type of notarization. I do, however, use those little arrows to keep the signatures down to a minumum but that is as far as it goes.

This way a client is protected by verifying a certain document was notarized and not just 'some' document. A lot more prep time but to me its worth it.

Opinions appreciated.

Buy the MOJO!

Notary Rotary just happens to sell the best journal on the market today & can be obtained on this web site. Each borrower will only sign ONE time & you check off the documents you notarize on the same entry line. You'll love the MoJo & wish you had it from the get go.

Time?

Does the MoJo have a place to enter the time you notarize each document? This is a requirement in CA. I'm thinking seriously of ordering it but i can't see enough detail in the sample picture.

Re: Time?

Barbara, the MoJo doesn't have a specific spot for time, but it does have a spot for "reference #" and that's where I insert the time. I use and love MOJO. Dotti

Re: Time?

Barbara, My MoJo has a box to the left hand side which asks for Date and time, Date on docs, reference # and also a box to put in the fee and another to check if it was paid. I don't know which one Dotti has, as she states hers does not have it. I just ordered mine in November, so maybe there was a differnt MoJo before that.
I do like it and I would recommend you to order one.

Re: Time?

Yes, it does. It is marked "notarization date and time" and has sufficient room to write both.

Re: Time?

It's a great journal and a real time saver for both you and the borrower. They are tired of signing also at the end of a loan package
