Again, I have a question on "Security Documents". Can anyone advise which docs are "Security Docs"? I know the Deed of Trust or Mortgage is. Are the HUD, TIL, RTC, or Note a Security Doc? Thanks.

The HUD, TIL, RTC, all riders to the mortgage and sometimes the closing instructions are generally what needs to be signed by the borrowers spouse even if they are not on the loan. Howvever, you will want to clarify exactly what docs are to be signed by any non-obligor parties with the respective title co., lender or SS. This is only a "general rule of thumb"

I know some lenders also have the non-borrower sign a "non-borrower acknowledgement" for HELOCs.

From what I understand " the note is held in conjunction with the deed of trust, which provides the security for the note". So I'm assuming those two would be security docs. but someone wanted me to come up with a third secure document and I had no idea. Called NNA and they didn't know either. Let me know if you find out or if they were incorrect.

Thanks everyone. I'm fairly new at this. I read the posts and am learning a lot.
