becoming a loan signing agent

I would like to become a signing agent. Could anyone recommend a school on the central coast of Calif? Are there books out there to assist in the process? Also, once becoming an agent, what type of home office equipment is useful? i.e., high speed internet access. separate phone/fax line, etc. If there is anyone between Santa Barbara and Paso Robles that could take me under their wing and show me the ropes, I would greatly appreciate it!
