Brother MFC-7420 - all-in-one $ 249.00 at staples
I can not find anything on the printer, which is $ 249.00 at Staples after $ 50.00 rebate. Prints up to 20 ppm, the memmory is 16MB, is flatbed. HP 3015 prints up only 15 ppm, and has more memmory - 32MB. Any input ? TIA

I have used hp printers for 20 plus years and tried a brother one time and it is still sitting and just being used as a fax machine as it never did work right. Go for the HP. I would not even consider another printer, just my opinion. I have 5 hp printers for our business, not perfect, just better.

Here is an HP 3015 for $189.00 plus shipping. It is refurbished and comes with a 1 year HP warranty. I bought mine here and have had NO trouble whatsoever with it. I received the printer 1 day after paying for it.

Go for HP also...I have a Brother MFC8220. You could not cheat on the toner. HP toner cartridge can be refilled if you buy toner. On the Brother, everythime I refill the cartidge, I could not use it anymore. Too much toner comes out resulting in a smeared or black streaked copies or prints. I have tried it many times and nothing worked. Brothers are very expensive printers to keep. On the other hand, my HP Laserjet 1300 is working like a horse. I could refill the cartidge at least 6 times (saving me almost $600) before I will need a replacement.

I have this printer, and have had no problems. It prints quickly. I can print a set of loan docs with around 100 pages around five minutes. It is not a dual tray though, but it is just a easy to switch out papers for me. I am pleased with it.

Corona
Does this Brother handle all of the different types of e-docs that can be sent like the PCL6 requirements? Thanks.

I was checking out this printer also. I did find a page (on the Brother website) which describes this printer and its capabilities. I can send you the link if you send me your email address. (My email address is: [e-mail address].)
By the way, under "emulations", this printer has "no" which means it doesn't have the PCL6 that everyone says we need to do edocs. Just so you know.
Hope this helps. Debbie
