Yep they do. From their Notary signup page:

"An $18.00 application fee is charged due to the large number of request we receive on a daily basis."

That's interesting. I just completed 2 signings for them last month from phone calls. I assumed they got my name here. Got paid within 2 weeks and did not have to pay a sign up fee.

Me too. Called for about 6 jobs in this area about three weeks ago. Already have received payment.

Would work for them again in a heartbeat!!!! No sign up was needed. They called me; found me on 123 Notary.

Thank you for your message! Firma does thousands of signings per year and we just recently found out about this "blog". We believe we are one of the most professional and highly regarded signing services in California. We do have a few negative comments on this site but a relativley small number in comparison to how many signing we have completed. We also understand that notarys are more likley to take the time to "complain" on this website than to take time to give a good review. We wish more notarys would go out of their way if they are happy with a signing service to post such a comment. Just as there are some bad signing services there also some bad notarys. If you have an issue with payment etc. please contact our office.
