HP1320

Can anyone help me out. My HP1300 died yesterday after 8 months so I bought a HP 1320. It prints SOOOO slow and I have to print docs for 2 closing and leave by 6:30. It seems to be printing 1 page per 30 seconds. Is there anything I can do to make this thing print quicker. I don't have time to search and hopefully someone can help me out.

Hi Marie,

I don't know what to tell you. I have a relatively new HP 1320 and as far as I can tell it prints the way it's supposed to. I wish I were a techie type person, so I could give you some advice or direction as to what you should do.

Thanks for your reply. I wonder if it has to do with how they were scanned. I downloaded these docs from a website onto my desktop and I thought they are suppose to print quicker when you do it that way.

Mine has done that awhile back but I think it was the docs or how they were sent not my printer.

Go to this link and order yourself additional memory. I had the same problem with the same printer. After I upgraded the memory its working perfectly. www.upgradememory.com

HP brand is $500.00+ for 64 MB ram and $800.00 for 128 MB. I bought 128MB for only $58 something and its working just fine.

I also recently bought a 1320. The first docs I downloaded took forever. Since then, every set of docs I have printed has printed very quickly. I can only assume the difference is how the docs are scanned. IMHO it has nothing to do with the memory.

You're right. IMHO has nothing to do with memory. Its the way papers are scanned. The printer takes it as an image and that is why it gets slow. But if you have more memory it helps in faster printing. 85% of my signings are with edocs so I know what it takes to print them faster!!!
