I usually charge 75, but I have done a couple of 50's. Does the 75 you charge include edocs? . What part of CA are you in? I only do NSA work part-time and I couldn't survive in this business if this were my full-time career.

I am in Orange County and no, $75 does not include e-docs.

I'm in Yuba County and I have missed two signings because I don't do edocs. I had a SS call today for a signing on Monday, they asked the fee and I quoted $75. They said they would email a confirmation - I haven't received confirmation, may they found a cheaper notary?

If you could do a $50.00 job in a half hour, would you do it? I make a lot of easy $$$'s doing just that.

My easy $35.00 Deed only signing lasted an afternoon and

numerous return trips to client by no fault of mine.

Re: My easy $35.00 Deed only signing lasted an afternoon and

Bummer. I may work for $50.00, but if I'm hired by a ss, I won't do anything for less than $50.00, even a Grant Deed

This was my first request for a Deed only signing - I guess

Dana, that's your own fault. if you were hired to go one time and get one signature and you made return trips they were using you and you allowed it. Remember, we only have to do what we are hired to do for the agreed upon fee; we do not have to 'make the deal work'. Sometimes it's to our benefit to make things work out but not a $35 order.

Do a $50 signing? Sure, if it's in my hometown (Lexington) the docs are overnighted /w no fax backs, and not AMQ.

Re: only if it is near my home and requires no fax backs, and I

I love the $50 12 page packages sent to borrowers in my town of course. I show up and they are usually very well informed and ready to sign. Done in 15 minutes!
