predated deed

I am doing a loan signing today and in the body of the deed date is already filled in with july 23. can I notarize this deed, i.e change the date or attache an acknowlegement with the correct date or should I have them draw a new deed? ? Iwould appreciate any suggestions!

Notarize as of the date is is signed
Do NOT change date in body of deed
The docs can be dated any date on or before date signed
(I have heard that some states are ok even if doc dated AFTER date signed)
Deeds should be dated on or before date of Note and Mortgage (DOT)
If the date of your Notarization is preprinted, you may change that to date of signing and initial
Got to get back to work
Brutal EOM, Double digits Thursday, Friday and yesterday and most re-fis, but money will be nice next month.

I second Bob - don't change any dates on the deed, date your ack as of the correct date of signing.
