What would the normal fee be?

I would charge $155.00 for this.
1st $75 for closing $15 edocs
2nd $50 for closing $15 edocs
Theses companies are crazy to think you would close 2 loans for this amount of money. That doesn't happen in NJ

would be at least $250.00. $150 for the 1st & $100 for the 2nd with E-Docs for travel within 30 minutes of my home. But then, I don't work for any Company that would pay me less than this. I just did a double last night with overnight docs to the Borrower who was 10 minutes from me for $150.00. Total of 6 notarizations for 1 person. JMHO

Re: 1st & 2nd for $100 ???? cheapo SS story #2

Hi!
I did an email signing for a new co. today. They called yesterday and asked me to do the job for $85. I told them I don't go any lower than $90 for email closings. The guy himmed and hawed a bit, then decides he can go the extra 5 bucks. So, of course I get the conf. and it said $85. I completed the signing and faxed back the conf/invoice combo, crossed out $85 and wrote in $90. Well, I'm at my next signing and the guy calls while I'm there and is practically screaming "Who gave you the authority to charge $90?" I said the person that called to set up the appt. He said "That was me and I did not agree to this price, blah, blah, blah...then he said that the form was initialed by someone and who did I get to inital it? Huh? All I did was cross out the wrong fee and put the right one in, it wasn't initialed. He went on and on, meanwhile the girl at my signing was signing away...lol...In the end I think he agreed to go up the whole $5. Holy Smokes...I didn't want to make a fuss about $5, but, then I thought, the heck with them...the notaries are always getting taken advantage of! Give me my 5 bucks!!!

I think if you had told him to resend the confirmation at the price you agreed upon ($90) right away (or you would not accept the signing), you wouldn't have the problem. The error occured when you took it upon yourself to correct his offer, and faxed it back to him. By making him fax you a new confirmation, with the agreed fee, there is a commitment. It would have saved you the grief of the phone call during another signing.
