Abbreviating

Is there any problem with abbreviating in the journal. There isn't much room to write but I've hesitatied to abbreviate because I wasn't sure if that was okay. TIA

It's your journal. As long as you can define your abbreviations in an audit or other situation. Most journals have a section where you can write in your abbreviations.

Thanks. I didn't know if it might be a legal issue if a signing was challenged in court.

What about using ditto marks?

Say we have one signer who takes up 6 lines in the journal. Can we use ditto marKs in the "ID of Signer" column instead of reentering the drivers license info over and over again? What about signers name and address column? I know we can in the Dov date column and date of notarization columns.

Re: What about using ditto marks?

For my regular journal... I used to use Ditto marks in the name/address section and Id section as well and never heard of anything that says you can't. Better advice than that though is 'Get a MOJO!!!!' Best thing I ever did!
